As the festive season approaches, the spirit of giving and togetherness takes centre stage. At CPB UK, we are thrilled to announce that, once again, we are supporting the incredible work of Katharine House Hospice this Christmas, whose fundraising campaign launches today!
The hospice’s challenge is that the impact of the autumn budget, increase in the cost of living, growing demand for services and a difficult fundraising environment means it has become harder to fund the day-to-day services that more than 380 people need at any given moment. So, in 2024, Katharine House Hospice has signed up to The Big Give’s Christmas Challenge, which means that every £1 donated to Katharine House between 3 and 10 December via the Big Give website will be DOUBLED!
Stephanie Lawless, Head of Fundraising at KHH, said: “Christmas is such a special time of year for so many. So, we want to raise as much money as possible to support our incredible teams who look after our patients 24 hours a day over the Christmas period and beyond.”

How The Big Give Works
Between 3rd and 10th December, every pound donated to Katharine House Hospice via The Big Give website will be doubled thanks to match funding. This means your generosity can stretch twice as far, helping to fund vital hospice services that bring comfort, dignity, and hope to those in need. When the public donates to a charity through a Big Give campaign, the organisation asks funders (philanthropists, foundations or corporates) to match that donation.
So, for example:
A £20 donation becomes £40.
A £50 donation becomes £100.
This extraordinary opportunity allows us all to rally as a community and maximise the impact of every contribution.
